A monopitch solution

Cassidy + Ashton were appointed by the University of Liverpool to design the new Equine Hospital in 2007.

The building comprises of consulting rooms, reception with administration offices and a public waiting area. Linear circulation within the single storey building resulted in a plan form with a clearly defined staff and public side.

A key consideration of the design was the prominence of the entrance in relation to the approach from visitor's access. A monopitch solution was therefore adopted with the higher-side of the roof to the public side, with full height glazing system.
