25 place Dementia Day Care Unit

Cassidy & Ashton were appointed by Lancashire County Care Services (LCCS) to provide a new build 45 Bed Residential Dementia Care Unit with associated Assisted Bathrooms, Lounges, Treatment Rooms and Quiet Rooms located on the Old Cottam Hall Brickworks in Fulwood Preston.

A 25 place Dementia Day Care Unit including associated Assisted Bathrooms, Lounge, Garden Room, Skills Kitchen and Quiet Room was also provided along with a Service wing, Main Kitchen and Laundry

The intention of the design was to provide a building which didn't look institutional but had more of a domestic feel both externally and internally. This was achieved by making the individual rooms look more like apartments with detailed attention paid to the interior furniture and finishes.
