Dave Owen, Guy Evans and Adam Piggott are limbering up to run, cycle and swim their way to the finish line on Friday 24th July at MediaCity UK in Salford.
The three team mates will face tough competition from property, construction and built environment professionals from across the North West and beyond as they tackle a relay that comprises a 5km run, 20km cycle and 750m open water swim.
All money raised from entrance fees for the Jones Lang Lasalle and Peel Group-sponsored event will be donated to the Christie Charitable Fund and the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
The Cassidy + Ashton team will also be raising vital funds for DIAL West Cheshire (DIAL House), a Chester-based charity which provides a range of services to enable disabled and older people to live sustained, independent lives.
Guy Evans, whose brother-in-law has received support from the charity for many years, said: “The JLL Property Triathlon is well-established as one of the UK’s top five largest triathlons and has raised more than £1.3m for charity to-date.
“We’re proud to be taking part in such a major regional event and such a rigorous physical challenge as part of Cassidy + Ashton’s commitment to putting something back into the community, especially for a charity that is close to my heart.”
Keith Roper, chief officer at DIAL West Cheshire, added: “As a local charity with limited funds we are extremely grateful to Guy and colleagues from Cassidy + Ashton for their efforts on our behalf.
“The money raised will help us to refit the kitchen in our Community Café. The kitchen is staffed primarily by disabled volunteers and the café, which is open to all, is an extremely valuable facility for disabled people and others in the local community”
