Cassidy + Ashton reaches national final for Royal Town Planning Institute’s excellence award

The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)’s Awards for Planning Excellence celebrate the best plans, projects and people across the UK planning industry.

Cassidy + Ashton’s planning team is shortlisted in the Mid-Size Planning Consultancy of the Year category. The firm was entered into the national awards following its victory as North West Mid-size Planning Consultancy of the Year at the RTPI’s regional awards, held in Manchester in June.

The announcement of Cassidy + Ashton as a national finalist means the firm will compete against six other firms for the award next month.

Cassidy + Ashton’s entry included a variety of work undertaken by its Preston and Chester planning teams, such as the £10m affordable housing development Troutbeck, the Xplore! Science Discovery Centre in Wrexham and the redevelopment of the historic Grade II-listed Priory Place in Chester.

The award entry also highlighted the team’s unique approach to issues such as sustainability and team development.

The Cassidy + Ashton planning team was formed around 20 years ago and has grown steadily to seven members of staff delivering projects across the UK.
