Pre-application Consultations

This page lists the current and recent pre-application consultation exercises undertaken by  Cassidy + Ashton.

For proposals in England, this is a non-statutory consultation to give interested parties the opportunity to comment prior to submission of a formal planning application.

For proposals in Wales, this consultation is statutory in line with the Planning (Wales) Act 2015, requiring developers to conduct statutory pre-application consultation (PAC) on all major planning applications in Wales.

The purpose of PAC is to provide an early opportunity for communities and stakeholders to comment on development proposals and for development proposals to be refined taking into account people’s views.

This is then compiled in a mandatory Pre-Application Consultation Report, detailing how the consultation was carried out and how people’s views were considered, which is submitted to the local planning authority on submission of an application.
