What we did

  • Lead Consultant & Architect: Managing the multi-disciplinary design team from inception to handover.
  • Technical Delivery: Production of a comprehensive tender and construction information package to ensure cost certainty and design quality.
  • Construction Support: Providing dedicated construction-stage support, ensuring the build adhered to the design intent and quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Facilitating seamless coordination between the Client, specialist consultants, and the site team.

Design & Innovation

The architectural response focuses on the delicate balance between safety, security, and residential comfort. We moved away from a clinical feel to create an environment that truly feels like home.

Holistic Amenities: Beyond private suites, the home includes a gym, hair salon, communal lounges, and dining areas.

Specialist Dementia Design: Strategically designed layouts and material palettes, developed in collaboration with specialist interior consultants, promote cognitive well-being and ease of navigation.

Smart Care Integration: The building features a state-of-the-art monitoring system that utilizes behavioural learning and body language recognition to enhance resident safety without compromising their independence.

Sustainability & Performance

Constructed to meet rigorous sustainability targets, the building is as efficient as it is comfortable. Key features include:

Enhanced Thermal Envelope: High-performance insulation levels.

Renewable Energy: Integrated solar PV array.

Climate Control: Full Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery (MVHR) systems to ensure optimal air quality and temperature regulation for residents.

It has been a fantastic opportunity to work in close partnership with the client and support them through their vision to provide the local community with high quality, modern and comfortable care facilities that we see a shortage of across the country.”
