Elland Academy

A £1m refurbishment of a former 15,000 sq ft office building in Leeds to create a new specialist primary and secondary school has completed.
Designed by C+A, the EFA-funded Free School, Elland Academy, caters for 75 pupils. The Special Needs School delivers specialist learning for pupils aged 4-19.
Elland Academy nurtures the needs of the community, supporting its support to feel valued and enabled to make positive choices regarding their learning and interactions with others.
The school will cater for a maximum of 75 students across all year groups and will cover most subjects. The building incorporates General Teaching Classrooms, an ICT Suites, a Science Lab, Art Room and a Hair Salon.
Works was developed in partnership with contractor Gardiner & Theobald.
