Cassidy + Ashton were appointed to design a new £2m two storey extension to an existing Sports Hall to create a fitness suite and multi-use space and changing rooms.
What we did

The ground floor comprises a dedicated sports reception area, new changing rooms, lockers and offices. Upstairs there is a Mind & Body Studio, intended to be a multi-use space for activities such as dance and yoga, and an extensive Fitness Suite with state-of-the-art fitness equipment. In addition, the existing Sports Hall has been upgraded acoustically.
The schools sports teams and elite athletes will benefit from these significant improvements to training facilities, but the new facilities will also play an integral role in the School’s Health and Development Plan, providing ‘something for everyone’, including Junior School pupils whose timetable includes daily PE lessons.
