North Cestrian School

North Cestrian School will be expanding from 250 pupils to 750 pupils. Works include additional specialist teaching spaces, a new dining hall and kitchen, DDA compliant works to the main entrance and significant internal refurbishment and external works.

The existing science block will be extended to provide a resistant materials room at ground floor level, large science lab on the first floor and a food technology suite at second floor.

The existing main entrance is in the original Victorian villa and does not provide good DDA access. To address this, a lift tower extension will be provided together with a new admin area and internal refurbishment works.

A new dining hall and kitchen, together with associated toilets will be provided to the rear of the campus, with the staff room relocating to the new first floor. The existing dining hall will be refurbished to provide a music suite and the existing staff room, will be the new art suite.
